Progressing cavity and hygienic pumps from Nova Rotors
Power Energy supplies Nova Rotors progressing cavity and hygienic pumps from Jubail Industrial City to plants across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. Tell us the fluid, flow rate and pressure, and we will recommend a suitable model.
What Nova Rotors makes
Nova Rotors builds progressing cavity pumps. These pumps move thick, abrasive or shear-sensitive liquids with a steady, low-pulsation flow.
Diamond progressing cavity pumps
For viscous liquids, sludge and fluids with solids. Reversible design, a wide choice of materials, and hopper versions for thick, slow-flowing products.
Hygienic pumps (DX, JX, DXO, DXC)
Food-grade progressing cavity pumps for dairy, beverage and food lines. Nova Rotors lists 3A approval for its hygienic progressing cavity range. Please confirm certification for the exact model.
Hygienic twin screw pumps (Raptor)
Twin screw pumps for food, beverage and pharmaceutical duties where cleanability and gentle handling matter. Casing and rotors are stainless steel, with several hygienic connection standards available.
Floating stator pumps and grinders
Wobble-series floating stator pumps and Terminator-series grinders for compact installations and tougher solids.
How a progressing cavity pump works
A single helical rotor turns inside a rubber-lined stator. The gap between them forms sealed cavities that move steadily from suction to discharge. The liquid is not churned or thrown, so flow is smooth and low in pulsation, and shear-sensitive products are handled gently.
The pump can run in either direction, and it can pull a suction lift on thick fluids that centrifugal pumps struggle with. Nova Rotors Diamond-series pumps use a long rotor pitch, which the manufacturer says lowers starting torque and energy use. Pump types also share seals, stators and rotors, which helps keep spare parts stock down.
When another pump is the better choice
A progressing cavity pump is not right for every duty. For thin, clean water at high flow, a centrifugal pump is usually simpler and cheaper. For dry running, very high temperatures or tiny dosing volumes, a diaphragm or metering pump may suit better.
Where the fluid is thick, abrasive, stringy or full of solids, a progressing cavity pump is often the strongest option. If you are unsure, send us your duty and we will tell you honestly which pump type fits. You can read more on our progressive cavity and twin screw pumps page and our hygienic pumps guide.
How to choose the right Nova Rotors pump
Four questions decide most selections. Having these answers ready speeds up your quotation.
What is the fluid?
Name, viscosity and temperature. Thick products such as sludge, polymer or paste need a pump with a feed hopper or auger, while clean viscous liquids suit a standard flanged inlet.
Does it contain solids?
Size, quantity and abrasiveness of solids decide the stator material, rotor coating and pump speed. Fibres and rags may need a grinder upstream.
What flow and pressure?
Flow rate and discharge pressure set the pump size and number of stages. Lower speed gives longer life on abrasive duties, so a larger pump is often the smarter choice.
Any hygiene or hazardous-area need?
Food, dairy and pharmaceutical lines need hygienic models with suitable connections and seals. Flammable areas need ATEX-rated equipment. Tell us the zone so we can confirm availability.
Where Nova Rotors pumps are used
The manufacturer lists these industries. Send us your application and we will tell you honestly whether a progressing cavity pump is the right choice.
In the Gulf, we see these pumps most often in municipal and industrial wastewater plants, sludge dewatering, chemical dosing and transfer, and food and beverage lines. Heat, sand and aggressive chemicals are part of daily life here, so we help you check the materials and sealing for your site conditions.
How we work with you
Spare parts and service in the Gulf
Rotors, stators, seals and drive parts wear on every progressing cavity pump, especially on abrasive duties. Send us the pump model and serial number from the nameplate, and we will identify the correct parts and confirm availability with the manufacturer.
Replacing an existing pump
If a pump is failing, send photos of the nameplate and the installation, plus the current duty. We will advise whether a Nova Rotors model can fit the same position, and what pipework changes, if any, are needed.
Nova Rotors FAQ
Does Power Energy supply Nova Rotors pumps in Saudi Arabia?
Yes. Power Energy supplies Nova Rotors progressing cavity and hygienic pumps in Saudi Arabia and the GCC from its office in Jubail Industrial City.
What are Nova Rotors pumps used for?
They move thick, abrasive and shear-sensitive liquids, including sludge, chemicals, and food and dairy products, with a smooth, steady flow.
Which Nova Rotors pumps are hygienic?
The DX, JX, DXO and DXC progressing cavity series and the Raptor twin screw range are the hygienic ones. Certification varies by model, so please confirm it for the exact pump before ordering.
What do I need to send for a Nova Rotors quote?
The fluid, viscosity, flow rate, discharge pressure, temperature, solids content and your site location. Photos of an existing pump help if this is a replacement.
Can you help with spare parts and troubleshooting?
Yes. Send us the pump model and serial number and we will advise on spare parts, repair and installation support.
What is the difference between the Diamond series and the hygienic range?
Diamond-series pumps are built for industrial duties such as sludge, chemicals and viscous liquids, with a wide choice of materials. The hygienic range (DX, JX, DXO and DXC) is designed for food, dairy and pharmaceutical lines, with cleanable surfaces and sanitary connections.
Can Nova Rotors pumps handle abrasive liquids and solids?
Yes, progressing cavity pumps are widely used for abrasive and solids-laden fluids. The right stator material, rotor finish and a lower pump speed make a big difference to wear life, so please send us the solids size and content.
Are ATEX versions of Nova Rotors pumps available?
Nova Rotors lists ATEX options for pumps used in flammable atmospheres. Tell us the zone, gas group and temperature class, and we will confirm availability for your model.
When should I choose a progressing cavity pump instead of a diaphragm or lobe pump?
Choose a progressing cavity pump when the fluid is thick, abrasive or shear-sensitive and you need smooth flow at steady pressure. Diaphragm pumps suit dry running and chemical transfer, while lobe pumps suit clean hygienic products. We can compare them for your duty.
Can a Nova Rotors pump replace my existing pump?
Often yes, but it depends on the model, connections and duty. Send us the nameplate details and photos, and we will advise on a suitable replacement and any changes to pipework or base.
