Power Energy Gulf provides filters, liquid and gas phase coalescers, phase separators and complete filtration skids for refineries, gas plants and petrochemical sites in Saudi Arabia and the GCC. Two of the most common uses are amine system treatment and gas phase coalescing for compressor gas. Tell us the fluid or gas and the contaminant, and our team will recommend the right filter or coalescer.
Amine System Treatment
Amine units remove hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide from gas and liquid streams. Over time the circulating amine picks up solids, hydrocarbons and degradation products. These contaminants cause foaming, fouling and carryover, and they cut treating efficiency. Filtration on the amine loop keeps the solvent clean and the unit stable.
- Amine filtration on lean and rich amine streams
- Particulate removal with cartridge, bag and pleated filters, including absolute-rated high-efficiency elements
- Oil and hydrocarbon removal with coalescing and separation elements
- Filter housings and skids sized to your circulation rate
Gas Phase Coalescers for Compressor Gas
Liquid droplets and aerosols carried in a gas stream can damage compressors and contaminate downstream equipment. A gas phase coalescer (gas-liquid coalescer) merges the fine droplets into larger drops that drain away, so the gas leaves clean and dry.
- Protection of compressors and downstream equipment from carried-over liquid
- Reduced liquid carryover from process gas streams, including amine systems
- Gas phase filtration and gas-liquid separation, supplied as elements, vessels or complete skids
Filters, Coalescers and Systems We Provide
- Filters: melt blown, string wound and pleated filters, TSS and oil removal filters, high efficiency (absolute micron) and high flow filters
- Coalescers: liquid-liquid and liquid-gas coalescers
- Phase separators: liquid-liquid phase separators for recycle streams
- Strainers: in-line and side stream strainers, and back-washable filters and strainers
- Vessels and skids: pressure vessels and filter housings, filter skids, and custom-designed and fabricated systems
- Capacity: systems for about 10 to 1,000 m3/hr, and rental filtration skids for 1 to 500 m3/hr
Replacement, Retrofit and New Systems
- Replacement: we can replace your existing standard or custom filters with lower-cost, higher-efficiency filters and coalescers.
- Retrofit: we can retrofit existing filter vessels with high-efficiency, high-capacity filters, coalescers and separators with no new vessel fabrication.
- New systems: we provide engineered filter skids with filters, liquid coalescers and gas phase coalescers for new applications.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is amine system filtration?
Amine system filtration removes solids, hydrocarbons and degradation products from lean and rich amine streams. Cleaner amine helps limit foaming, fouling and carryover in gas treating units.
What is a gas phase coalescer?
A gas phase (gas-liquid) coalescer merges the fine liquid droplets and aerosols carried in a gas stream into larger drops that drain out, so the gas leaves cleaner and drier.
Where are gas phase coalescers used?
Typical uses are protecting compressors and downstream equipment from carried-over liquids, and reducing liquid carryover from amine and other process gas streams.
Can you replace or retrofit existing filters and coalescers?
Yes. Power Energy can supply replacement filters and coalescers for existing vessels, and can retrofit existing filter vessels with higher-efficiency elements without new vessel fabrication.
What flow rates do you cover?
Systems are offered for capacities of about 10 to 1,000 m3/hr, with rental filtration skids available for 1 to 500 m3/hr.
How do I request a recommendation in Saudi Arabia?
Send us the fluid or gas, flow rate, pressure, temperature and the contaminant you need to remove. We will recommend the filter or coalescer type and the system size.
